Finger-licking delicacies at Delhi Street Food Festival

From mouth-watering street foods like aaloo tikkis and golgappas to kebabs of the city's old quarters, along with migrant dishes like momos and noodles, dal batti and littis, dosas and the bhelpuri will an integral part of the three-day Delhi Street Food Festival that begins here on Friday.

"There will be around 50 street food vendor from all over the city selling a vast variety of food," Sangeeta Singh of the National Association of Street Vendors of India (NASVI) told IANS of the inaugural edition of the event.

It comes on the heels of the National Street Food Festival held last year. Its popularity has encouraged NASVI to take the event to Bengalurue and Mumbai towards the end of the year. International events are planned in March in Islamabad and in

 

April in Manila.

The Delhi Street Food Festival will be held at Baba Kharak Singh Marg, Opposite the multi-level parking complex at Connaught Place. The timings are 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. and entry to the venue is free.
