Finland beat Georgia in World Cup qualifier

Roman Eremenko scored the lone goal for Finland in their away game against Georgia in their Group I qualifier for the 2014 football World Cup.

The Finn converted the goal from the penalty spot less than 15 minutes from the final whistle Tuesday, reports Xinhua.

Finland are third with nine points after seven rounds while Georgia are fourth with five points in the group standings.

Spain and France lead the group with 14 and 11 points respectively.
