Two men were found dead on Monday morning by firefighters in the northern French city of Lille.
The firefighters were extinguishing a fire in the basement of a house in Haubourdin following a smoke alert, EFE news cited a local media report as saying.
An old women was also found dead on Sunday in another fire at a nursing home on the outskirts of Paris.
French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said in a statement that a woman had died and three others were injured in a fire that occurred on Sunday night in a room on the third floor of a nursing home.
Cazenveuve paid his condolences to the families of the deceased and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
