A massive fire on Saturday evening destroyed nearly 80 per cent of the stalls set up for a trade fair in Jammu, police said.
"There were no casualties or injuries. The fire was most likely triggered by an electrical short-circuit," police said.
After the fire broke out in the Gole Market area of Gandhi Nagar around 9 p.m., the area was cordoned off to prevent it from spreading to the densely built market complex.
The fire was brought under control, but by then nearly 80 per cent of the stalls were destroyed.
