Two World Cup ski jumps and two Nordic combined events scheduled for February in the Czech Republic have been cancelled due to financial reasons.

The International Ski Federation (FIS) said Thursday the events, scheduled in the northern city of Liberec Feb 7-8, were cancelled for organisational reasons, reports Xinhua.

But Czech ski federation Lukas Sobotka said Thursday that a lack of finances was the key reason for the cancellation.
