Five women died in a fire at a nightclub on the southern outskirts of the Cambodian capital late on Monday, police said.
"Five women are confirmed dead in the blaze and two men are in critical condition," Phnom Penh municipal firefighting police chief Prum Yot told Xinhua.
It took firefighters more than an hour to put out the blaze, he said, adding that it remained unclear so far what caused the flames. An investigation was underway.
