Five including two Nigerians arrested for drug trafficking

Five men including two Nigerians were arrested here in separate incidents of drug trafficking, police said on Saturday. Drugs worth over Rs. 1 crore were recovered from them.

In the first incident, a Nigerian -- Ezeafulukwe, 35 was arrested on March 11 from Shakurpur area of north Delhi on a tip-off.

Ezeafulukwe had come to meet one of his customers to deliver a consignment of drugs when he was arrested. Police recovered 20 grams of cocaine from his possession. He had arrived in Delhi in February, 2014.

The second Nigerian national - Mike, 27 was arrested on the same day from central Delhi's Panchkuian Road.

 

The police recovered 40 grams of cocaine from the possession of Mike who lives in south Delhi's Khirki extension and had come to India in 2012 on a medical visa.

In the third incident, Boda Lalu, 27 and Bhukya Linggar, 29 hailing from Telangana were arrested on March 12 from east Delhi's Mayur Vihar Phase-I where they had come to deliver ganja to a client.

A total of 32 kg of drugs were recovered from the duo.

In the last incident, 49-year-old delhi resident Mohinuddin was arrested with 200 grams of fine quality heroin. The resident of Seemapuri in east Delhi was arrested on March 12 near Nigam Bodh Ghat in east Delhi.

The total value of the seized drugs -- 200 grams of heroin, 60 grams of cocaine and 32 kg of ganja - is around Rs. 1 crore, police said.
