At least five suspected militants were killed Saturday in Somalia when a car bomb exploded outside the country's parliament, a police official said.
The car bomb went off at the outer gate of the Somali parliament in capital Mogadishu, Xinhua reported.
The militants were killed by the security forces before they could enter the parliament, the police official said.
Radio Mogadishu reported that none of the Somali MPs were hurt in the attack.
