Five Maoist guerrillas were arrested in Jharkhand's Chatra district on Friday, police said.
Chatra Superintendent of Police Akhilesh B. Bariyar said the arrested men belonged to the Tritiya Prastuti Committee (TPC). "We have seized Maoist literature and mobile phones from the Maoists."
He told the media that police surprised the rebels when they were holding a meeting near Delho village. Two Maoists who tried to escape were arrested first and then three others were taken into custody.
