Five more swine flu case were reported in West Bengal since Friday, taking the number of positive cases to 63 while the death toll remained at three, a health official said Saturday.
"Since Friday five more cases have been reported taking the total number of infected patients to 63. The government is working on a war footing to contain the spread. The death remains at three," said state Principal Secretary (Health and Family Welfare) Moloy Dey.
Of the five new cases, three have been reported from Kolkata while the rest two are from the districts.
On Thursday, an eight-year-old boy died of the infection to take the death toll to three. He was admitted in a critical condition at the city's B C Roy Hospital where the state government has created a ward specially meant for swine flu patients.
