Five suspected Maoists were arrested from West Bengal's Purulia district for putting up posters in favour of the outlawed Communist Party of India-Maoist, police said on Wednesday.
The arrests were made from Balrampur area in the district on Tuesday.
"We had initially arrested three people for putting up the posters. Following their interrogation, last night we arrested two more people in this connection," said Superintendent of Police Rupesh Kumar.
