Brazilian football club Flamengo has signed Peru international striker Paolo Guerrero on a three-year contract.
The 31-year-old joined the Rio de Janeiro outfit on Friday after three seasons at Corinthians where he scored 54 goals from 130 matches. Financial details for the deal were not revealed, reports Xinhua.
The announcement came a day after Flamengo named Cristovao Borges as their coach, replacing former Real Madrid manager Vanderlei Luxemburgo.
Guerrero will only join the five-time Brazilian Serie A champions after the Copa America, to be played in Chile from June 11 to July 4. Peru have been drawn in Group C alongside Brazil, Colombia and Venezuela.
