Foggy, chilly day in Delhi, Thursday to be similar

A foggy morning gave way to a chilly day in Delhi Wednesday, with the maximum temperature dipping four notches below the season's average at 16.5 degrees Celsius. Similar weather is expected Thursday, the Met Office said.

"There will be shallow fog early morning tomorrow (Thursday) and the afternoon will be cloudy. The mist will return in the evening," said an official of the India Meteorological Department.

The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 18 and nine degrees Celsius.

Wednesday morning in Delhi was foggy. The minimum temperature settled three notches above the season's average at 10.2 degrees Celsius.

 

According to Northern Railway, 17 trains from the national capital were running well behind schedule due to fog.

Tuesday's maximum temperature was 22.1 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average while the minimum temperature was recorded at eight degrees Celsius, one notch above the season's average.
