Ford India on Wednesday launched its new compact sedan, Figo Aspire, priced between Rs 4.90 lakh and Rs 8.25 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) available in both petrol and diesel variants.
The petrol variant, which begins from Rs.4.90 lakh and ends at Rs.7.80 lakh comes with a Ti-VCT engine available in 1.2 and 1.5 litre capacity while the diesel variant priced between Rs.5.90-Rs.8.25 lakh comes with a 1.5 litre TDCi engine.
"Ford Figo Aspire breaks all stereotypes and proves that a compact sedan can also have the best of everything - be it stunning design, smart technology, advanced safety and impressive fuel efficiency," the company's president and managing director Nigel Harris said in a statement.
The car comes with upto six airbags - including side and curtain airbags and in case of a serious collision, its emergency assistance uses a Bluetooth-paired phone to automatically call emergency responders and provide information about the vehicle and location.
Besides enhanced protection technology, the car also flaunts a bold trapezoidal grille and elongated headlamps giving the car a sporty look. Chrome highlights and fine details in the headlight design also add a premium touch.
"With the longest wheel base in the segment, the Figo Aspire will offer class-leading legroom in the front for passengers to stretch out. In the rear, Indian families will appreciate exceptional roominess that allows three adults to sit side-by-side with plenty of head and shoulder room," the statement said.
