Cyclists from four Latin American and Caribbean countries will take part in the Cuba Track Cycling Cup to be held here Oct 2-4.
Mexico, Venezuela, Guatemala and Trinidad and Tobago are the countries which, together with Cuba, will be represented in the competition to be held at Velodrome Reinaldo Paseiro in eastern Havana, Cuban Cycling Commissioner Hector Ruiz said Wednesday, reports Xinhua.
Ruiz said this would be a good chance for Cuban cyclists to fight for a ticket to UCI Track Cycling World Cup series in Manchester, England, in November and in Aguascalientes, Mexico, in December.
The competition will grant points for the world ranking towards the World Cup and the UCI (International Cycling Union) Track Cycling World Championships to be held from Feb 26 to March 2, 2014 in Cali, Colombia.
