Four dead as car falls into Narmada

At least four people, including a child, died and six were injured while heading towards Omkareshwar temple when their car veered off the road, crashed though the railings of a bridge and fell into the Narmada river, an official said on Wednesday.

Sub-inspector Jaipal Singh told IANS the incident occurred on Tuesday night near Mortakka area when the car went out of the driver's control and fell into the river after crashing through the railings of a bridge, killing Mukesh Nagia (35), Anita (17), Panchubai (45), and Vaishali(2) on the spot.
