At least four people were killed Thursday in a Taliban attack on a mine clearance agency convoy in Afghanistan's Herat province.

According to officials, the victims were working with HALO Trust, a non-governmental agency in charge of clearing mines and explosive remnants of war in the province, 640 km west of Afghan capital Kabul, Xinhua reported.

Thursday's attack is the second attack on mine clearing agencies this year.

On June 10, Taliban attacked a de-mining site in eastern Logar province, killing eight people and injuring three.
