Four people were killed and eight injured Saturday morning in a suicide car bomb attack in Jalalabad, the capital of Afghanistan's Nangarhar province, police said.
"Two policemen, one civilian and the attacker were killed when the militant rammed his explosive-laden sedan into the front gate of the city police station at around 8:20 a.m. local time," Xinhua cited Fazil Ahmad, provincial police chief, as saying.
Five policemen and three civilians were injured in the blast that also damaged several vehicles and buildings.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
