At least four people were killed and three others injured on Friday when a Pakistan Army helicopter crash-landed on a school building in Gilgit-Baltistan administrative territory, an official said.
According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), six Pakistanis and 11 foreign nationals were on board the MH-17 helicopter, Dawn online reported.
Director General (DG) of ISPR Asim Bajwa tweeted that the victims included two foreign nationals besides the two pilots.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was scheduled to visit Gilgit later in the day for the inauguration of two projects and the army helicopter was monitoring the security situation in the area prior to his visit.
The cause of the crash was yet to be determined, the ISPR added.
