Four security personnel were injured in a landmine blast triggered by Maoist guerrillas in Jharkhand's Latehar district on Friday, police said.
According to police, the blast took place when the security personnel were involved in an anti-Maoist operation in Latu jungle in Latehar district.
The injured security personnel were airlifted to Ranchi for treatment.
Jharkhand Police, along with the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), have launched a massive operation against the Maoists in Budha Pahad in Garwah district. Top Maoist commanders Sukhdakaran and Arvind are said to be present in the jungle.
Maoist guerrillas are active in 18 of the 24 districts in the state.
