Four sharpshooters of a Delhi-based gang were arrested after a shootout in Haryana's Rohtak, police said Sunday. A policeman was wounded.

Police said Jagdeep, 30, Sandeep, 21, Anil Kumar, 24 and Raj Kamal, 26, were arrested near Maharishi Dayanad University in Rohtak where they had gone to kill a man over an old rivalry.

"Three sophisticated .32 bore pistols with 18 live cartridges and a .315 bore countrymade pistol with two live cartridges were recovered from them," said Ravindra Yadav, additional commissioner of police.

The quartet were members of Delhi extortionist Manoj Morkheri's gang, who was arrested in March and is lodged in Tihar Jail.

"Head Constable Sandeep of Haryana Police was wounded in the gun battle. His condition is stable," Yadav added.
