In gruesome multiple murders, an 82-year-old widow, her three daughters aged 38 to 56 as well as a guard were found stabbed to death at their house in east Delhi on Saturday morning, police said.
The bodies bore wounds inflicted with a sharp weapon. The five found dead in house 1/561 on G.T. Road in Shahdara's Mansarovar Park area.
The deceased were identified as Urmila Jindal and her daughters Sangeeta, 56, Nupur, 48, and Anjali, 38 and the security guard, Rakesh, 42.
Two of the daughters were unmarried and the eldest was a widow. Urmila's husband Brij Bhushan had passed away couple of years ago.
The house was found ransacked but all the valuables belonging to Urmila Jindal and her daughters were found safe. Nothing was stolen although the almirahs and cupboards were found open.
The crime was detected at around 7 a.m. when neighbours and a nephew of Urmila Jindal found Rakesh in a pool of blood in the parking area of the house.

When Urmila's nephew went to take the car key from the first floor where Urmila stayed with her daughters, he found the door was open. His aunt's throat had been slit.
As the dazed nephew entered the drawing room, he found his cousins -- bloodied and sprawled on the floor, a police officer said.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Nupur Prasad said the motive behind the killings was not known. She refused to give more details.
"It was a friendly entry into the house. We are investigating every possible angle of the case," Special Commissioner of Police S.B.K. Singh said.
A police officer told IANS that they were looking whether personal animosity could have led to the horrific murders.
Forensic experts video-graphed and took blood samples and finger prints. Police recovered a sharp weapon which could have been used in the crime, the officer said.
The deceased's phone call details were also being examined and family members were questioned to establish Friday night's activities, he added.
Over 40 persons of the same family stay in the two-storey building, which is part of Jindal Oil Mills.
In view of Diwali, the Jindal family was getting the house painted. Police suspect that some labourers could be behind the crime.
