Fourteen cell phones used illegally by inmates of the Baramulla sub-jail in north Kashmir were seized on Sunday, the state police said.
"A joint search was carried out by Baramulla police and prison authorities in the sub-jail following information that some unauthorised things, including cell phones, were in use inside the jail," a police officer said.
A case has been registered, and investigation is underway as to how these cell phones and other illegal things were brought inside the jail.
