The French Grand Prix will return to the Formula One calendar in 2018, 10 years after it was last held in 2008, the president of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, which will host the race has announced.
Christian Estrosi said at a press conference on Monday that the event will take place at the Paul Ricard Circuit in Le Castellet.
The decision was taken at a meeting in Geneva last Nov. 16 with the president of the Formula One Group, as well as the president of the International Automobile Federation.
Estrosi emphasized that the chosen circuit is an infrastructure recognized and appreciated by all teams and drivers.
