France left-back Lucas Digne has signed a five-year contract with Everton after his two seasons with Barcelona, the English side announced on Wednesday.
The 25-year-old underwent his medical tests on Tuesday, a day after he left Barcelona's pre-season tour in the US, reports Efe.
"Everton is a big club with a great history," Digne said, according to the Toffees. "I want to show my best football here and discover the best league in the world. Everybody loves the Premier League. I am loving the fact I am coming here.
"I am not afraid, I am excited. For me, it is a new challenge to discover a country, a league, people and a great club such as Everton. It is fabulous," he added.
Digne played 45 matches during his spell at the Catalan club, with which he won La Liga title last season.
"Thanks for everything and good luck, Lucas Digne!" Barcelona tweeted.
