The fall in unemployment happened across a range of age groups, but particularly benefited young people aged between 15 and 24, who experienced a 0.3-percent drop in joblessness, leaving 24 percent of the younger generation out of work.
Unemployment decreased 0.1 percent for people between 25 and 49 years old, as well as those above the age of 50, with rates hovering at 9.3 percent and 6.9 percent, respectively.
