French football club Montpellier has announced it has sacked coach Frederic Hantz and replaced him with the duo of Jean-Louis Gasset and Ghislain Printant.
The club explained in a statement on Monday that it reached an agreement with Hantz to terminate his contract because of the disappointing results the team has suffered since his arrival on the bench in early 2016, reports Efe.
Montpellier lost 1-5 to Olympique Marseille on Friday in Ligue 1 to retreat to 15th position, just one point away from the relegation zone.
Gasset, who was Laurent Blanc's former assistant at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), and former Bastia coach Printant will take the helm at the club.
