AS Roma have confirmed that coach Rudi Garcia has signed a contract extension which will keep the French tactician at the Italian football club until 2018.
Garcia's deal was set to expire in 2015, reports Xinhua.
He was Friday rewarded with an extension after guiding his side second place in the Serie A standings last season.
"AS Roma communicates that it has confirmed a deal with Rudi Garcia for the extension of his contract," Roma said in an official statement.
"His previous contract was due to expire in June 2015. The new deal will last for four years, with an expiry date of June 30, 2018, " the statement added.
Roma president James Pallotta said Garcia is a key part of a long-term project.
