Starting their journey in the fashion industry with a flair for art, architecture, flowers and wanderlust, the brand Geisha Designs, brainchild of designer duo Paras Bairoliya and Shalini Jaikaria, has completed 15 years in the industry.
Shalini Jaikaria says it has been an exquisite journey with the duo treating every day as a new challenge with new expectations and beliefs, and Paras Bairoliya shares that the duo's "ultimate hope is to amaze ourselves".
Starting in 2000, the duo have carved a place for themselves in the industry using their craft and vision.
A few celebrities who have worn Geisha Designs in the last few years are Paris Hilton, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Sonam Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut, Kajol, Nimrat Kaur, Jacqueline Fernandez, Anushka Sharma, Sonakshi Sinha, Parineeti Chopra and Nargis Fakhri.
Their first ever collection was the rose, since roses have been an ultimate declaration of love; it became an inspiration for them. They titled it as "Whispering woods".
"Over the last 15 years I have laboured with craftsmen to re-invent romance such that it keeps me motivated and loved. The team which started as just two members proudly has 200 plus skilled craftsmen today," Jaikaria said in a statement.

She added: "We are immensely proud of our label and what we have managed to create and accomplish over the years. Our work is an external expression of our internal journey... From then on it has been an exquisite journey, personally I have developed from being a person wanting to be loved to actually experiencing it .. Every day is a new start and I continue to challenge my expectations and beliefs."
Bairoliya also shared that "Flowers, art, mystique, life and nature's pride have always formed a source of inspiration for the brand and continue to do so ... We've added a touch of feminity and romance in the interpretation and while the label offers a wide range of apparel every season we have remained true to our philosophy over the 15 years."
He said: "Our ultimate hope is to amaze ourselves. The anticipation of discovering new possibilities in the process of design becomes our greatest joy!"
