Marcel Kittel from team Etixx Quick Step won here -- the last of the four legs -- and the total third annual professional road bicycle racing stage race in the Gulf Arabian sheikhdom ahead of his rivals Elia Viviani from Italy (Team Sky) and British biker Mark Cavendish (Dimension Data).
Kittel passed the finishing line at the world's tallest tower Burj Khalifa in central Dubai in a time of two hours, 50 minutes and 47 seconds on Sunday. Cavendish was hard on the heels of Kittel but lost endurance during the last metres of the race, reports Xinhua.
The 27-year-old German from Arnstadt totalled for final general classification after stage four 14 hours, 46 minutes and 54 seconds and 55 points in the classification. Kittel expressed huge happiness when he was crowned winner, adding that his self-confidence was boosted.
