Germany has condemned terror attacks on the IAF base in Pathankot town of Punjab and an attack on the Indian consulate in Afghanistan, external affairs ministry spokesman Vikas Swarup tweeted on Friday.
"We condemn the terrorist attacks on the Indian Air Force base in Pathankot and on the Indian consulate in Mazar-e-sharif," the German statement said.
"The perpetrators must be hunted and those responsible must be held accountable," the statement said.
Seven security personnel were killed in the January 2 attack on the Pathankot Air Force Station. Six terrorists, suspected to be from Pakistan, were later killed by security personnel.
On Sunday night, the terrorists attacked the Indian consulate in Mazar-e-Sharif in Balkh province of northern Afghanistan. The attackers carried heavy ammunitions like RPGs, Swarup confirmed at a media briefing here on Thursday.
After being kept at bay by the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) posted at the consulate, all the four terrorists were later killed by the Afghan National Defence and Security Forces (ANDSF).
