The Jawaharlal Nehru (JLN) stadium here is all set to host one of the most technologically advanced, Broadway style theatrical shows in the world, Geronimo Stilton LIVE, based on their best-selling series that features Geronimo Stilton, the mouse reporter.

A phenomenon in the children's books category, Geronimo Stilton series has sold a massive 130 million copies worldwide.

Although the series credits the title character as the author, the idea was originally thought of by the Italian children's books author Elisabetta Dami.

The show has been brought to Delhi by Scholastic India, one of the leading multinational publisher of books for children, and will be be staged from August 3 to 5.

"Kids absolutely love Geronimo Stilton books. The series has enjoyed a very loyal following over the years and it is only fair that its readers get to experience something more.

"With a fully international cast and crew, Geronimo Stilton LIVE is a visual spectacle that children in Delhi will never forget," said Neeraj Jain, Managing Director, Scholastic India.

In India, Geronimo is rated as the second most popular author by the Nielsen Report, right after Chetan Bhagat, known for his commercial novels.

Some of the most popular books in the series include "The Dragon Crown", in which Geronimo's cousin is captured by the king of the dragons and the protagonist is required to deliver the Crown of the Seven Rubies for his release;

"No Time To Lose", in which readers are introduced to a new mouse city, which is itself in danger; and the adrenaline-fuelled tale of a golden staircase in the protagonista¿s attic, beyond which lay what the title promises -- "The Kingdom of Fantasy".

Geronimo Stilton LIVE will be staged at Weightlifting Auditorium of JLN Stadium here and the tickets are up for grabs currently at www.bookmyshow.com
