Ghana football chief coach Avram Grant has named a 31-member provisional squad to prepare for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) to be held in Equatorial Guinea next month.
Grant Wednesday handed debut call-ups to four Ghanaian players playing in Europe, with former Under-20 stars Frank Acheampong and Alfred Duncan making a return to the senior national team, reports Xinhua.
Ghana will play in Group C of the tournament alongside Senegal, South Africa and tournament favourites Algeria.
Ghana's team will be based in Mongomo with Bata, Ebibeyin and Malabo hosting the other group games. They will open the tournament against Senegal before matches against South Africa and Algeria.
