Ghost Rider is officially coming to "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."
The news comes after a couple months of speculation, thanks to numerous ads, that the character would be showing up.
This Ghost Rider, however, will be different than the one moviegoers are used to. The character that will appear in the show will be a version that first appeared in the Marvel NOW! comic version, reports variety.com.
Rather than the Johnny Blaze Ghost Rider, played in two films by Nicolas Cage, this Ghost Rider's name is Robbie Reyes.
Reyes becomes the Ghost Rider after being gunned down in the street and revived by the ghost of his uncle and Satanic serial killer.
This is also the first time that the character will be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The previous films based on the character were produced by Sony Pictures and are not considered part of the Marvel Studios canon.
