Former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher says when he met his girlfriend Debbie Gwyther, it was just in time, and he got saved from "falling".

Talking about his life post Oasis, the 45-year-old said that Gwyther "saved" him. He says that the years following the breakup of Oasis and the disintegration of his last band Beady Eye had been tumultuous, reports dailymail.co.uk.

"Debbie saved me. No bulls**t. Debbie swooped me up as I was falling, she just said, 'Stop being a d***head'," Gallagher, who described the last few years as "emotional", "eye-opening" and "mind-bending" for him, told Q magazine.

Gwyther helped Gallagher introduced him to a new world.

"She got me out of the house, introduced me to all kinds of people outside my world, got me doing new things," he said.

"I've lived in London a long time, but I only really knew Hampstead. She took me to new places. I've been to Dalston, man," he added.
