The total budget of the project amounts to 500,000 euros for two years. Given the costs of the purchase, the installation and transportation of the Hawk-Eye system it can only be used on three locations.

It will be used during 10 home games of FC Utrecht, starting Sep 28, six matches in Feyenoord stadium De Kuip in Rotterdam next year, including the Dutch Cup Final April 20 and after that it will be moved to Ajax stadium the Amsterdam Arena for the Dutch Super Cup Final.

The use of goal-line technology is not new in European football. Since the start of this season, the Dubbed Goal Decision System was introduced in the English Premier League.
