VFL Wolfsburg goalkeeper Diego Benaglio extended his contract until 2017, the German football club confirmed via the club's official homepage.
The contract of the Switzerland international was automatically extended due to an option in Benaglio's contract. The 32-year-old custodian will thus stay with the Green-Whites until June 2017, reports Xinhua.
Benaglio joined Wolfsburg in January 2008 to make 232 Bundesliga appearances ever since. He lifted the Bundesliga title with Wolfsburg in 2009 and the German Cup in 2015.
