Indian golfer Ajeetesh Sandhu managed to make the halfway cut on a five-over 147 total in the PGM Nilai Springs Championship here on Thursday.
Ajeetesh, who got a three-over 75 on the opening day of the Asian Development Tour (ADT) event, improved his performance with a 72 that helped him take the joint 47th spot. The cut was declared at five-over 147 only at the Nilai Springs Golf and Country Club.
Ajeetesh, the lone Indian competing at the tournament, bagged a birdie on the fourth hole but bogeys on the sixth and seventh hole affected him. He played par back-nine that gave him a 72.
Meanwhile, Australia's Jordan Sherratt lit the day's fireworks by carding a sparkling seven-under 64 to grab a share of the second round lead with Thailand's Chanat Sakulpolphaisan.
Sherratt enjoyed a bogey-free round highlighted by seven birdies to sit alongside the Thai at the top of the leaderboard with their matching two-day total of nine-under 133.
