Government, miners to share platform at Global Natural Resource Conclave

To explore the potential and sustainable use of the country's natural resources, key players from the industry and the government will share the platform here at Global Natural Resources Conclave (GNRC) on Wednesday.

The conclave is being held by The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII)and Network 18.

The two-day conclave will see the participation of Union Power Minister Piyush Goyal, Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar, Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju the Chief Ministers of Madhya Pradesh and Goa -- Shivraj Singh Chauhan and Manohar Parrikar -- and Candian Natural Resources Minister James Gordon Carr.

The event, which is endorsed by key ministries including Environment, Mines and Steel will see participation from more than 20 countries including Canada, Australia and the UK, as also from the Middle East.

 

Rajasthan and Jharkhand are the State Partners for the conclave, which will also be attended by CXOs from public and private companies dealing with natural resources.

Among the subjects to be discussed are 'Importance of Leveraging Natural Resources Dividend' , 'Explore in India to Make in India,' 'Future of Oil and Gas', 'All-Round Sustainability', 'Disruptive Technologies', 'Global Best Practices', and 'The Indian States Perspective'.

Australia mining magnate Gina Rinehart will deliver the keynote address at the GNRC.
