Congress leader Manish Tewari said on Wednesday that in view of the questions being raised on the cross-LoC surgical strikes by the Indian Army, the government should "set the record straight".
"In this whole episode, there is the Indian narrative, there is a Pakistan narrative and then there is an international narrative, which is doubting our version," Tewari said.
"The government should have taken it in their purview as to how they would justify their narrative... Why is international media, including CNN and Washington Post, doubting our version? Are we not failing the army by not setting the record straight?" he said.
The special forces of the Indian Army carried out surgical strikes across the Line of Control (LoC) on September 28-29 night and destroyed several terror launch pads. But Pakistan has been denying the strikes.
