The government Monday said it will amend the Request for Qualification (RFQ) for the privatisation of six airports taking into consideration the concerns raised by the bidders.
"Pre-bid conference has been held with all the bidders. Their suggestions have been considered. Taking that into consideration, we will amend the RFQ document," a senior civil aviation ministry official told reporters here.
"Legally everything should be perfect with the document (RFQ). Those who participate should not have any reason for doubts."
The official was commenting on the progress of the airport privatisation policy recently initiated by the government.
An inter-ministerial task force had recommended development and management of 20 airports under the public private partnership (PPP) model.
These airports include Chennai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Lucknow, Guwahati, Bhubaneswar, Coimbatore, Trichy, Varanasi, Indore, Amritsar, Udaipur, Gaya, Raipur, Bhopal, Agartala, Imphal, Mangalore and Vadodara.
The RFQ will be followed with issuance of request for interest (RFI) and request for proposal (RFP).
