TV personality Camille Grammer, who has been diagnosed with endometrial cancer which affects the lining of the uterus, underwent a preventive hysterectomy surgery.
Contactmusic.com reports that her representative confirmed the news to People.com.
"She underwent a radical hysterectomy today (Friday). The surgery went well and she is expected to make a complete recovery following a significant recuperation period," the representative said.
"(She) has been diligent about regular checkups and monitoring which explains the early detection and rapid treatment," added the representative.
Grammer has also expressed gratitude to "all the amazing health care professionals who have taken such loving and nurturing care of her".
The 45-year-old quit her show "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" earlier this year after featuring in it for three seasons.
