A bride has been arrested on suspicion of orchestrating a gun attack on her husband on their wedding day in Pakistan's Punjab province, the police said on Monday.
Irfan, 25, a resident of Gulshan Ravi, was on his way back home from his wedding venue near Shafiqabad when two men riding on a motorcycle opened fire at his car in the populous area of Lahore, critically injuring the groom, the Daily Pakistan reported.
As there was no patrolling unit around, the armed attackers fled without any hinder.
The groom's father filed an FIR against the bride, who was yet to be named, and her relatives with Shafiqabad police, alleging that the woman was behind the attack.
