Brazilian striker Elkeson has signed a new four-year contract with Chinese football club Guangzhou Evergrande.
The new contract will expire on February 28, 2019. "I am very happy to sign a new contract with Guangzhou, this city is like my home. I will be with you in the next four years and I hope we can win more titles with your support," the 25-year-old was quoted as saying by Xinhua on Sunday.
Elkeson, who joined the Chinese champions in 2012, scored 24 goals to become Chinese Super League (CSL) top scorer in 2013. The 25-year-old netted a CSL record 28 goals in 2014 season and won the MVP of the league.
