Actors Gulki Joshi and Chaitanya Choudhry have been roped in to play the role of Devaki and Vasudev in the upcoming mythological show "Paramavatar Shri Krishna".
"We have always looked up to our parents for the kind of sacrifices they have made to make our lives as comfortable as possible. However, here are these parents -- Devaki and Vasudev -- who strive for their child's safety and ensure that they don't let their suffering come in the way," Chaitanya said in a statement.
"I feel honoured to be a part of a show that will retell the tale of Krishna emphasising how 'Devakinandan' actually became Krishna," added Chaitanya, who has previously appeared in shows like "C.I.D.", "Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi" and "Ek Veer Ki Ardaas...Veera".
"Paramavatar Shri Krishna", set to be aired on &TV, will showcase various aspects of Krishna's life, which will be explained through various facets by Lord Vishnu.
Gulki, best known for her roles in shows like "Phir Subha Hogi" and "Piya Rangrezz", said: "A mother's love is indescribable. I can't even imagine what Devaki must have gone through with her children being murdered by her own brother Kansa."
