The wife of Gurgaon chief judicial magistrate (CJM) Raveent Garg was Wednesday found dead here with two gunshot injuries, police said.

The body of Geetanjali, 24, wife of the CJM, was found in the evening near a play ground in Police Lines, close to her own house in Civil Lines neighbourhood, police said.

The licensed pistol issued to the CJM was recovered from the spot, police said.

"The prima facie matter seems like a suicide but we can say something concrete after the postmortem report," Police Commissioner Alok Mittal told IANS.

Geetanjali left her house around 3 p.m. and after a few hours her body was found in bushes in the play ground, police said.

The body was spotted some children playing in the ground, police said.

"The CJM identified the body and said she usually went to the ground for a walk," Mittal added.

Several judges and their family members including district and session judge visited the crime spot.
