Amid day temperatures touching 45 degrees in Gurugram, the water supply in parts of the city will remain disrupted on Thursday following shutdown of master water supply from main water treatment plant, an official said on Wednesday.
Water supply from WTP Chandu will remain suspended on Thursday as upgradation work will be carried at the plant.
"Upgradation work at Water Treatment Plant, Chandu has been scheduled to be done on May 24. Full shutdown of plant for 6 hours is required for execution of this work," an official said in a statement.
During shut down, no supply would be possible from this plant, which supplies water to Master Supply Zone-1 & Zone-3.
"We will try to compensate the deficit in Zone-I from WTP, Basai but no alternate would be possible for Zone-3," the official said.
"The main affected area will be Sectors 33, 34, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50, 51, 54, 55, 56, 57, Golf Course road, Sectors 66, 67, 68, 71 & 72 & Sohna Road," according to the statement.
