Hamburg signed striker Batuhan Altintas from Turkish outfit Bursaspor, the "HSV" said in an official statement on the club's official homepage.
The 19-year-old striker joined from Turkish first division side Bursaspor and inked a two-year deal, which keeps him with the "Rothosen" until June 2017, reported Xinhua news agency.
Altintas is Hamburg's first new arrival of the summer transfer window.
"Batuhan is a great talent in Turkey. He comes from a soccer family. His father played as a professional at Galatasaray. We already contacted him a half year ago and are now very delighted that he is with us now," Hamburg's CEO Dietmar Beiersdorfer said on Saturday.
Hamburg is the only club that has never been relegated into the second division in the Bundesliga history. However, the "HSV" avoided their relegation in the last two campaigns in the last nick of time.
Hamburg encounter German record champions and title holder Bayern Munich for the season opener on August 14.
