Chinese Super League side Hangzhou Greentown signed Frenchman Philippe Troussier as their new chief coach, the club announced on its official website.
Troussier, known as the 'White witchdoctor', will lead Greentown in the new season, reports Xinhua.
The 59-year-old left Tunisians CS Sfaxien in September by mutual consent after they failed to reach the CAF Champions League final.
Troussier also coached the national teams of Japan, Cote d'Ivoire, Nigeria, Burkina Faso and South Africa.
He led Japan to the last 16 at the 2002 World Cup and Japan's under-23 side to the fifth place at the 2000 Sydney Olympic.
Troussier also trained China's Shenzhen Ruby FC from 2011-2013.
