Iconic bike maker Harley-Davidson launched the all new Street 750 at a price of just over Rs.4 lakh hoping to reach out to a wider audience Wednesday, a day before the Auto Expo 2014 opens here.
"The new Street 750 will excite a new segment of urban riders in India who will appreciate the attention to detail and the opportunity to experience the Harley-Davidson lifestyle at an accessible price point," said Anoop Prakash, managing director, Harley-Davidson India.
"We will continue to adopt and invest in strategies that make our products and ownership experience accessible to more enthusiasts and customers in India," he added.
The new bike is powered by a 750 cc V-Twin liquid cooled engine specifically designed for urban driving. It is mated to a six-speed gearbox.
The cafe style speed screen, black front fork gaiters, all black exhaust system and aggressive slash on the tail section lends the bike a striking appearance.
The Street 750 will be built in the company's Haryana plant unlike the other nine models on offer which are assembled here from kits brought in from US.
